Your location is
your business.
QiblaPoint requests location only when you choose “Use my location.” The browser supplies coordinates so the direction can be calculated.
Location data
Your selected coordinates are processed in the page and may appear in the URL when you create a share link. We do not require an account or create a personal location history.
Anonymous usage analytics
We collect limited first-party events to understand whether the finder works: for example, page type, location or compass success and failure, Qibla alignment, map checks, sharing and navigation between QiblaPoint pages. We do not send your coordinates, place-search words, IP address, name, email address or full browser identifier into analytics. A random session identifier is held in memory only, is not saved in cookies or browser storage, and resets when the page is reloaded. Event records are automatically removed after 90 days.
Place search and maps
When you search for a place, the query is sent to the OpenStreetMap Nominatim service. Embedded map requests include the selected map location and are also supplied by OpenStreetMap. Those providers receive ordinary technical request information such as your IP address.
Device permissions
Location and motion/orientation permissions remain under your browser and operating-system controls. You can revoke them at any time in your device settings.
